CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS! Entries Now Open for the 6th Annual Friends of Quiet Waters Park Photo Contest!
The 6th annual photo contest is now underway! Although we are all observing social distancing, the park is open and we can enjoy its beauty. The entry fee has even been waived during this period. The Visitor Center including the restrooms, the Dog Park and the beach are closed.
Pictures must be taken in the park during all seasons featuring nature scenes, wildlife, park events, sculpture, water views and more. Submissions can be in color or b/w and must be jpg or tiff files. The photos should have been taken during the last 3 years. There is a limit of 3 entries per person. Each photo must include a title and its location in the park.
Send entries to Gail Olmstead, gbolm@comcast.net. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 31, 2020. The entries will be judged by members of the Fine Arts Committee of FQWP and the winners will be announced by Sept. 30, 2020.
The winning photographs will be featured in the 2021 calendar and will be announced through various social media including the Friends’ website, Facebook and Newsletter. To view the winners from last year’s contest, check out the Friends’ website at fqwp.org.

Congratulations to the 2019 Photo Contest Winners!
The Friends of Quiet Waters Park are happy to announce the outstanding winners of the 2019 photo contest. A blind jury was made up of members of the Art Committee and the Board of the Friends of Quiet Waters Park whose job was very difficult because of the high quality of the submissions. Entries from 16 photographers included 40 photos. The winning photos represent the beauty and diversity of the park. All photos will appear in the Quiet Waters Park 2020 Calendar.
