Entries Now Open for the 9th Annual Friends of Quiet Waters Park Photo Contest

The 9th Friends of Quiet Waters Park (FQWP) annual photo contest is now open! We welcome March and the coming of spring! It’s a great time to take those special photos.

Entries must be taken in the park during all seasons featuring nature scenes, wildlife, park events, sculpture, water views and more. Submissions can be in color or b/w and must be jpg or tiff files. Submitted photos should have been taken during the last 3 years. There is a limit of 3 entries per person. Each photo must include a title and it’s location in the park.

Send entries to The deadline for submissions is Sept. 30, 2023. The entries will be judged by members of the FQWP Board and Fine Arts Committee. The winners will be announced by Oct. 31, 2023

The winning photograph will be featured in the 2024 calendar and will be announced through various social media including the Friends’ website, Facebook and Newsletter. Look below to view the winners from last year’s contest.

We are again looking forward to receiving your outstanding photographs of Quiet Waters Park, the “Jewel in the Crown” of Anne Arundel County!
