JOIN US IN THIS EXTRAORDINARY EXPLORATION
From Antarctica to the extraordinary wildlife-rich South Georgia Island with 2 million penguins and thousands of fur and elephant seals, veteran naturalist Winegrad will share the photos of his wife, Carol Swan, documenting the incredible wildlife and extraordinary vistas of the far South. Included will be 8 species of penguins, 6 species of albatrosses, and seal, whale, and dolphin sightings.
In addition to other special species of sea and land birds, including endemics such as the Flightless Steamer Duck, the incredible raw beauty of icebergs, glaciers, and wild landscapes will be featured as seen on this journey of 17,600 miles including 3,395 miles over 18 nights at sea.
Come and learn the fascinating history of the exploration and exploitation of the seals, penguins, whales and efforts to conserve them as global warming poses a grave threat to the Antarctic web of life.
