May 17, 2023 – June 25, 2023 all-day
Two diverse exhibits will be hanging at the Galleries from May 17 through June 25, 2023. In the Garden Gallery, “The Wildlife Art of Ron Orlando,” will hang and in the Willow Gallery “Portraits of Self,” artwork from Judith Crawford will be exhibited. According to Ron Orlando, whether it is a scene depicting a backyard experience common to us all or an intimate view of a predator in search of prey, it is his ability to make a connection between viewer and viewed is what attracts people to his work. Ron brings his experiences to life using a detailed layering technique that has become his trademark. Judy Crawford’s work speaks in a different manner. According to her, “My art represents my emotion and perspective. I believe that despite cultural or racial differences, we all share a common humanity and I see myself reflected in every person I encounter. My art allows me to share a piece of myself with the world and to connect with others on a deeper level through the universal language of art.”
The Opening Receptions are on May 21, 2023 from 1:30 to 3:30. The Galleries in the Visitor Center are open from 9 to 4 on weekdays and 10 to 4 on the weekends. Entrance to theis $6 per vehicle; fee is waived for the receptions only.
