Spring! When I feel like I can see the buds on the trees grow and change daily and the woods fill back in full of life and new growth!

Favorite Quiet Waters Park Event:

I love gathering with friends and family to share dinner and dance or kickback in the grass on beautiful summer nights. We ride our bikes over as a family and each week offers a different flavor and tone of music.

Love to travel, planning trips and activities. I love being outside when it is nice out, biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, skiing. Living near the Bay and rivers, Annapolis and Quiet Waters Park is awesome – lots of nature and outdoor things to do. Also a novice bird watcher.

Fall I suppose, although I enjoy each season.

Year-round! We like to say QWP is our second home where we enjoy outdoor recreation, events and wildlife every season: Winter brings ice-skating, Valentine’s Day skate and Canadian geese; Spring brings biking, Earth Day, blossoms and peepers; Summer brings paddling, concerts and herons; and Fall brings trail running, the Arts Festival, beautiful foliage and acorn-collecting squirrels.

Opening day at the ice-rink.

Quiet Waters Park is great in spring when life is returning to the park after a long winter. Running along the trails you can see the changes week to week as trees flower and leaf out, frogs and birds sing and the temperature warms.

I enjoy bringing the family to the park to listen to great music under the blue sky.

Strengths:

I bring to the Board a professional training and career skills in resource management complemented by more than 25 years in non-profit operations, working with private sector organizations that depend on healthy and productive environmental resources as a basis for their business model, and a substantial background forging cooperative relationships between the business community, federal and state regulatory agencies and natural resources management communities.

Favorite Time of the Year:

Whenever I’m there! Winter in the park is great following (or during) a nice snowfall that coats the trees with a blanket of fresh snow; spring is fantastic with the first emergence of spring peepers, new growth, and flowering of trees and shrubs; summer in the park provides a refuge from the summer heat and the chance to enjoy nice refreshing breezes off the South River; and a crisp fall day when the leaves are in their glory revitalizes the mind and spirit.

Favorite Quiet Waters Park Event:

The fall” Art @ the Park” event when I can see the works of so many people who have great creative talents.
