2024 Summer Concert Series

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW WHEN ATTENDING

  • Admission to the park is FREE during the evenings of the scheduled Concerts.
  • Plan to arrive early, the close in parking tends to fill up fast.
  • The Park has an awesome outdoor concert venue, make sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
  • Remember not to park on the grass unless instructed by park staff.
  • If you are bringing a pet, note that all pets must be on a leash.
  • No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed in the Park.
  • Food and Drink will be available for purchase at the event at various food trucks throughout the season.  Vendors will be on the right as you face the stage.
  • Make sure to Visit the Friends Table on your left as you face the stage where you can purchase raffle tickets or join the Friends.
  • The concerts noted below with an asterisk are sponsored by the Friends of Quiet Waters Park. Make sure to purchase some raffle tickets for all the wonderful raffle items.  All proceeds benefit the Friends of Quiet Waters Park and the work we do to support the park.

July 20 – 6:30PM-7:30PM
The Bravo Zulu Band – The Bravo Zulu Brass Band is a fun and funky horn and percussion ensemble. Rooted in the style of New Orleans bands such as the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the Rebirth Brass Band, this group can play every kind of event from a street parade to a full concert performance. The Original Crabtowne Stompers (1970s) and the New Crabtowne Stompers (2010s) were predecessors in the Naval Academy Band’s representation of New Orleans music. The Bravo Zulu Brass Band carries on the tradition of performing and celebrating this truly authentic American art form.

Kelly Bell Band – The Kelly Bell Band is among the most genre-expanding acts on today’s blues scene combining elements of hip-hop, funk, and blues-electrified. The band has won two prestigious Maryland Music Awards, including “Best Blues Band.” In 2018 they were nominated for “Music Icon”. KBB has been voted “Best Blues Band” in the Mid Atlantic Region (12 years in a row), and was recently named “Best Band” by Baltimore Style Magazine.

Avenue 66 – Avenue 66 plays a variety of timeless and popular music in a variety of genres, including jazz, R&B, pop, contemporary country, rock, Latin, alternative, and reggae. This band performs a wide range of well-known songs by some of the best-known musicians in the world, including Earth, Wind, and Fire, Bob Marley, Chris Stapleton, Masego & Devin Morrison, Michael Jackson, Santana, Bruno Mars, Bon Jovi, Motown, Whitney Houston, Tower of Power, Journey, Taylor Swift, Chicago, Bob Seger, and others.

Moxie Blues – Start with 6 musicians with a love for blues, rock and soul, combine that with a unique list of covers, add a generous splash of fun, shake well and you’ve got the Moxie Blues Band! We promise you that the house will be rockin’!

Raquel & The Wildflowers – Weaving tales of life’s adventures through heart pounding rhythms and powerful lyrics, Raquel & The Wildflowers will take you on a journey where the dust settles and the cowboys & cowgirls dance.

Leonardo Garcia y son Horizonte (Latin pop) – An ensemble that was formed to explore a wide variety of original compositions and arrangements, and a wide variety of Salsa and Salsa Jazz, from the classic style (salsa dura), Son Montuno to Salsa Urbana, including the band’s original salsa music. Leonardo’s roots from Colombia (mother from Bogota and father from Santa Marta) is a major influence, along with the wealth of Washington DC area Jazz history and musicians, and Latin American cultures. This blend of influences and styles is apparent in the compositions, recordings and performances that Leonardo offers to the audience.

Annapolis Symphony Orchestra– The mission of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is to produce, present and promote memorable symphonic music that increases awareness, enjoyment, and appreciation of music for all ages throughout the region.
