Scheduled Exhibits and Receptions

The Galleries of Quiet Waters Park is proud to present its 14th annual show/sale, “Holiday Artisan Market, Artistic Gifts of the Season,” which runs from November 19, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
Ten artists will be displaying and selling their work: Joanne Bast (textiles), Val Bembenek (paper boxes), Chesapeake Woodworkers (wooden artworks), Firelight Glass (fused glass), Garry Fritz (ceramics), Paul Gruner (functional pottery), Wendy Johnson (acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings), Joan Machinchick (paper arts, calendars, journals cards) and Dona Weingarten (photographs).
The Opening Reception is November 23 from 1:30 to 3:30 in the Visitor Center building which houses the Galleries. Entrance to the park is $6 per vehicle; this fee is waived for the reception ONLY. The Galleries are opened from 9 – 4 on weekdays and 10 – 4 on weekends.

Art Gallery Exhibit

Two exhibits will open in the Galleries at Quiet Waters Park on October15 and show through November16, 2025. In the Willow Gallery will be the Annapolis Arts Alliance whose show, “Art by the Bay,” is a celebration of color and creativity, capturing the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay region. Included will be coastal scenes, landscapes, wildlife, sunsets and color. There will be a variety of art forms: paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media, as well as three dimensional work in glass, pottery, fiber, metal and wood. This exhibit is also opened to county high school and college students. Annapolis Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization supporting local high school students with scholarships and community outreach programs.
The Garden Gallery will hold the works of Stacy Lund Levy in her “Warcolor Retrospective.” She shoots reference pictures everywhere she goes. She looks for interesting shapes and color combinations, light and shadow patterns and generally anything that will bring back fond memories of her experiences. “Watercolor Retrospective” is a series of watercolor paintings representing details from various events in her life.
The Opening Reception is October 26 from 1:30 to 3:30 in the Visitor Center building which houses the Galleries. Entrance to the park is $6 per vehicle; this fee is waived for the reception ONLY. The Galleries are opened from 9 – 4 on weekdays and 10 – 4 on weekends.

Two exhibits will open at the Galleries of Quiet Waters Park on August 27 and remain through October 5, 2025.
In the Willow will be the Annapolis Art Cooperative, a new organization of more than a dozen artists. Their art is represented in a variety of media including acrylic and oil, watercolor, photography, mixed media/collage, jewelry, woodworking and pottery. Their other works may be viewed at the Annapolis Pearl Gallery, 32 West St. on Annapolis.
In the Garden Gallery will be the “Havana through Cuban Eyes,” by Peter T. West. He learned and practiced street photography under a Cuban native photojournalist and teacher and then traveled with him to Cuba. They spent hours at sunrise and sunset taking photos in the Cuban Capital of many sites and everyday people in the context of their homes as well as the architecture of Havana itself and the rural town of Vernales. Mr. West is a lifelong Annapolis resident and a recently retired spokesman for the U. S. Antarctic Program.
The Opening Reception is September 14, 2025 from 1:30 to 3:30 in the Visitor Center, home to the Galleries. The Center is open from 9 – 4 on Weekdays and 10 – 4 on Weekends. Entrance to the park is $6 per vehicle. This fee is waived for the Reception only.
