ART @ THE PARK 2026
Save the Date!
October 17 – 18 from 10am to 4pm
Activities & Food: Enjoy live music, an outstanding display of art including ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, and painting along with demonstrations and a variety of food trucks. There will be art activities for the young people which include painting and assembling your own wind chimes. Leashed pets are welcome in the outdoor areas.
Recycled Mask Challenge: To challenge your young artists pick up a tree cookie from the large playground at the beginning of October and use recycled items to create a crazy, spooky or funny face (we suggest hot glue or e6000 as an adhesive since the mask will be displayed outdoors). Bring the finished piece to the Park on the 17th and 18th to display along the Concert Trail.
Here are creative suggestions for the Recycled Mask Challenge:
- Bottle Caps & Plastic Lids (great for eyes or layered ears)
- Egg Cartons (cut into snouts, horns, or bumpy scales)
- Pinecones, Acorns, & Sycamore Balls (perfect for natural texture or hair)
- Jar Rings & Soda Can Tabs (fun for metallic accents or mechanical details)
- Mesh Fruit Bags & Burlap Scraps (ideal for textured skin or hair)
- CDs or Foil Wrappers (great for shiny, reflective eye backgrounds)
- Cardboard Tubes & Cutouts (easy to trim into ears, trunks, or brows)
- Yarn & String Offcuts (classic choice for hair, whiskers, or fur)
